Inviting External Collaborators on Various Levels
You have the flexibility to invite external collaborators at different levels, each serving a unique purpose in your collaborative journey. These include inviting individuals to your team, workspace, or project.
To a Team
This feature is available in the Organization plan. If you're interested, reach out to our sales team. 🌟
When you invite external collaborators to a team, they gain access to all workspaces and projects within that team. However, they won't have access to account templates and hosting settings.
To a Workspace
This feature is available on both the Professional and Organization plan.
When you only want external collaborators to access projects within a specific workspace, you can invite them at the workspace level. This option allows for more granular control over who can access which projects.
To a Project
To invite a stakeholder to a specific project, you can do so directly within the Editor. Click the "Share" button in the top right corner of the canvas.
Project sharing gives you detailed control over the external collaborator's permission level within the project.
The Invitation Process
Once you've extended an invitation, your external collaborator will receive an email invite. They'll need to accept this invitation to join your team, workspace, or project.

Q: The people listed on a team or workspace don’t match the people listed on my account.
A: You can invite external collaborators to a team or workspace in Vev. Doing so will only give them access to your selected teams and workspaces. Adding people to your account grants them access to all teams and workspaces. You are billed for everyone added on an account level.
Q: Do I have to pay to invite external collaborators?
A: You only pay for the people that appear on your account list. Any external collaborators added to teams or workspaces only will need to pay for their own Vev account.
Q: Why can I only have one team?
A: The Professional plan includes one team. To create additional teams, contact sales to discuss upgrading to the Organization plan.
Q: Where can I view the workspaces that have been shared with me?
A: When a workspace is shared with you, it will appear in the Shared with me tab on the left of the projects dashboard.
Q: When working with external collaborators, where are projects made, how do we “deliver/publish” them, and who pays for them?
A: When an external collaborator is invited to a team or workspace on your account, all published projects are charged to your account. In short, published projects are charged to the account they were created in.
