Slideshow Basic

The Slideshow component enables you to display multiple images within a single area on your webpage, cycling through a sequence of images to create an engaging visual presentation while conserving space.

  1. Adding a Slideshow in Vev

    To incorporate a slideshow into your Vev project:

    1. Navigate to the components panel

    2. Locate and select the Slideshow component

    3. Drag the component onto your canvas

    4. Position it within your desired layout

Uploading Images to Your Slideshow

To add images to your slideshow:

  1. Double-click the slideshow component on your canvas

  2. Click the Image (+) button

  3. Choose from these options:

    • Add Image: Upload your own image files

    • Stock Images: Browse Vev's free stock image libraries

  4. Select your desired images to add them to the slideshow sequence

Configuring Your Slideshow

Double-click the slideshow component to access these configuration options:

Content Settings

  • Images: Add, remove, and arrange the sequence of slideshow images

  • Transition Animation: Select the animation style that plays between images

Display Options

  • Hide Dots: Toggle to show or hide the navigation dots indicator

  • Hide Arrows: Toggle to show or hide the previous/next navigation arrows

Autoplay Settings

  • Add Timer: Enable automatic advancement to the next slide

  • Time in Seconds: Set the interval duration between slide transitions when autoplay is active

Adjusting Image Focal Points

To control how images are cropped and displayed within the slideshow:

  1. Select the specific image you want to modify from the slideshow

  2. Double-click the image to open the Object Fit Editor

  3. Use these adjustment tools:

    • Zoom Slider: Crop in or out to focus on specific areas

    • Focal Point Control: Drag the blue circle to define which area of the image receives emphasis

Note: Consider the Slider Component for enhanced functionality, including focal point adjustments, custom transitions, and greater design flexibility.
