Typewriter Component Guide

The Typewriter component creates a micro-animation that cycles through custom phrases in a mock-typewriter fashion, adding print-world charm to digital designs.

Adding the Typewriter Component

To add a Typewriter component to your Vev project:

  1. Navigate to the component library

  2. Select the Typewriter component

  3. Drag and drop it onto your canvas

  4. Position it within your design layout

Configuring the Typewriter Component

Double-click the Typewriter component on your canvas to open the Properties panel. The following configuration options are available:

Text Configuration

  • Static Before/After Text: Enter text that appears before or after the animated content and remains static throughout the animation

  • Animated Text Items: Add the specific text phrases that will be animated in the typewriter sequence

Animation Settings

  • Transition Speed: Set the animation speed using numerical values (lower numbers create faster animations)

  • Loop: Toggle this option to make the animation repeat continuously

Custom Interactions

The Typewriter component supports these specific actions:

Available Actions

  • Start Typewriter: Begins playing the typewriter animation from the beginning

  • Restart Typewriter: Resets and restarts the animation sequence

  • Pause Typewriter: Temporarily halts the animation at its current position
