Ready to make a buzz? Adding social share buttons to your project is a great way to gain exposure for your business or event, making it easy for your audience to share your content with their networks.

Add share buttons to your project

Quickly add and customize social share buttons on your project with our native share buttons element. Here's how:

  • From the top menu bar, click the Add Menu (Shortcut: M)

  • Search for and select Share Buttons

  • Click and drag the element onto your canvas

Style share buttons

Customize the way your buttons look from the style panel to the right of your canvas. First, make sure you've selected the Share Buttons element on the canvas to activate the style panel on the right of your screen.

  • Background: Set the container's background color

  • Text: Set the network name's size and font

  • Margin: Add margin to each network

  • Border: Set a border color, opacity, and line weight

  • Border Radius: Curve the radius of the border

  • Padding: Add padding to both the container and networks

  • Effects: Add different types of shadows or blur effects (learn more about effects)

  • Transform: Set the width and height for each network relative to the element's container

  • Icons:

    • Set custom shape: Replace the network's logo with a shape or a custom SVG

    • Set custom image: Replace the network's logo with an image

Configuration options

The default social buttons included in the native element are Facebook, Twitter, and Mail. To change these options, double-click on the Share Buttons element on your canvas to open the configuration options. Here's what you can do:

Activate/Deactivate social apps

Customize which social apps you want to appear in the widget.

Set the element's text and background colors.

Hide label

Hide the social media app names. Only the logo will show when the label is set to hidden.

Override auto-URL

The default URL is auto-detected in Vev using your publish domain. You can override the default by adding a custom URL to direct the link to the correct destination.

Tip: Don't see the social network you want to link to on your page? Head over to our community and submit a feature request.

Q: How can I redirect my users to a social media mobile app?
A: This feature is not yet available; users are directed to your social network on their browser by default. Request or upvote this feature in our community!
