Effectively managing integrations at the project level helps ensure your tracking, analytics, and third-party tools work consistently across different publishing setups.

Accessing Publish Destinations

To begin managing integrations at the project level:

  1. Open Publish Settings in your project

    • Click the Publish button.

    • If you don’t have a connected domain in the publish modal, click Add destination +.

    • If you already have a connected domain listed, click Manage destinations.

    • Alternatively, click the Vev logo in the top left to open the project settings menu and go to Publish > Destinations.

  2. View Integrations

    • Click Show Integrations to see a detailed overview of all integrations for the current publish destination.

Note: You can only add integrations to a connected custom domain. The Show Integrations option is not available for the vev.site staging domain.

Adding New Integrations

To add a new integration for a specific publish destination:

  1. In the integrations overview, click Add Integrations +.

  2. Browse the list of available integrations.

  3. Enter the required settings to install the integration.

  4. If you aren’t ready to activate yet:

    • Use the three dots menu to temporarily disable the integration.

    • Adjust settings later and re-enable it when you’re ready to publish.

Understanding Integration Labels

Each integration in the dashboard includes a label to indicate its status:

  • Inherits from Hosting (blue): The integration is applied globally at the hosting level and affects all projects within that hosting.

  • Inherits from Folder (blue): The integration is inherited from the folder level and applies to all projects within that folder.

  • Disabled (grey): The integration is currently turned off. Click the three dots to enable it again.

  • Invalid Settings (red): Critical settings are missing or incorrect, preventing publication. Update the settings or temporarily disable the integration to continue working.

  • If you override an integration inherited from the hosting or folder level at the project level, the inheritance label will disappear. This simply means the integration now has unique project-level settings.

Modifying Integrations

From the integrations dashboard, you can edit, remove, or disable project-level integrations.

  • Click the three dots next to any integration to:

    • Edit the integration settings.

    • Remove the integration entirely.

    • Disable the integration temporarily.

Important: The Remove and Disable options are not recommended for Vev Essentials integrations. Removing Vev Essentials can significantly impact your project and result in a user experience that differs from the preview mode.

Adding New Connected Domains (Publish Destinations)

To add a new custom domain as a publish destination:

  1. Click Add publish destinations +.

  2. In the modal, enter your connected domain in the form field.

  3. A list of connected domains will populate as soon as you begin typing.

  4. Select the domain you want to add.

  5. (Optional) Enter a path if you want the project published at a specific page path. Learn more about paths here.

  6. Click Add publish destination.

Your new connected domain will now appear in the list and can be configured with integrations.

Best Practices

  • Use project-level integrations sparingly — only when a project requires unique tracking or credentials.

  • Always validate settings before publishing to avoid errors.

  • Prefer hosting- or folder-level integrations whenever possible for consistency and easier management.

  • If you’re not ready to activate an integration, temporarily disable it using the three dots menu, then complete settings and re-publish when ready.
