Take your carousel game one step further by showcasing playable video projects or just use it to add a bit of fluidity to the page.

Adding a Video Carousel in Vev

The Video Carousel User Experience

The user experience with the Video Carousel varies between desktop and touch devices:

Desktop

  • Hover Interaction: Hovering over a video tile automatically starts playback.

  • Volume Control: Mute/unmute buttons toggle audio playback.

  • Pause Behavior: The video pauses automatically when the cursor leaves the tile.

Touch Device

  • Tap Interaction: Tapping a video tile brings up native video controls.

  • Control Options: Users can play/pause, adjust volume, enter full screen, and seek within the video.

  • Pause on Interaction: Any playing video pauses when the user taps or navigates through the carousel.

Device Breakpoints

  • Customization: Users can specify the number of visible tiles for different device modes (desktop, tablet, mobile).

  • Adjusting Settings: Double-click the Video Carousel to access its settings modal.

  • Setting Visibility: Specify the desired number of tiles for each device mode.

  • Preview Changes: Switch between desktop, tablet, or mobile mode in the Vev Editor to preview design adjustments.

  • Note: Changes may require switching between breakpoints to take effect properly.. Once completed, then switch the Vev Editor device mode between desktop, tablet, or mobile mode to view the designs.

Sometimes you need to switch between breakpoints for these changes to take effect.
