If a template that suits your needs and requirements does not already exist by default in Vev, it is easy to create your own that you can reuse for multiple projects. Build once and use often!
Example
Let's create a simple template for a bicycle page.
Step 1. Navigate to the workspace or team in which the template will be used.
Step 2. Navigate to the Templates tab from the left side menu.
Step 2. Select New template.
Step 3. Design your template in the Editor. When you are done, click PUBLISH.
Step 4. Complete the Template Overview form.
The Template Overview form has the following set of fields for each section in the template:
Field Name | Field Type | Notes |
Section name | TextField |
The name of the particular section. |
Type tags | DropDown | Select one or more tags from the dropdown options that best describes the section. Later when the template is used in a project, sections will be grouped by tags so that the sections can be easily categorized for convenience. |
Add by default | ToggleField |
ON: Section will be included/visible in the project where this template is used. OFF: Section will not be included/visible in the project where this template is used - although it can be manually inserted by the template user. |
Once the form is completed, the template is ready to be published. The template can then be used in projects belonging to the workspace or team under which this template was created.
