Vev comes with three different device modes making sure your site looks good on all devices.
Navigate Between Desktop, Tablet and Mobile View
Toggle between Desktop, tablet and mobile view using the device toggle button.
- 1 (desktop)
- 2 (tablet)
- 3 (mobile)
These are the ground rules to keep in mind when adapting your content to different devices.
In Vev you have to start working on desktop mode. When you add content to desktop, tablet and mobile inherit the content and their settings.
Make sure you finish designing in desktop mode before adapting content in tablet and mobile mode. You can move, change and even hide the look of elements on Tablet and Mobile without affecting the Desktop layout. Read more about how to do this further down the article.
On all devices, you have a vertical line on each side of the canvas. Keep content within these lines, within the safe zone, to make sure the content looks good on all screen sizes.
Pinned elements can be positioned outside of the safe zone on all devices.
Cross-Device Editing Options
The general rule for adapting content to be suitable for tablet and mobile is that all settings available on the right panel editors can have a unique setting for each device.
Deleting content, adding line breaks and other settings not available in the right panel, will affect all screen sizes.
Pinned elements will be pinned on all devices.
Keep In Mind!
If you make changes in desktop after adapting tablet and mobile, the changes will affect tablet and mobile to some degree. Make sure you check all the view modes when adding changes to desktop mode.
