Vev comes with a built-in Code Editor, letting you extend Vev with your own custom components. Give your designers fully functional, configurable and themeable building blocks for their projects.
Developing in Vev
Just like most decent page builders, Vev lets you place and manipulate any custom code into your projects directly. What makes Vev unique is how easily your components can be used, re-used and themed by you or your Team.
Opening the Code Editor
To open the Code Editor, navigate to the Vev project you want to develop in, and click the Add icon on the top left. At the bottom of the Widget or Section List, you will find a button labelled “New Custom Code”.
Once you've added a custom widget to the canvas, you can also open the Code Editor by using the shortcut
SHIFT+U when the Widget is selected on the Canvas, or by clicking the developer icon next to the name of the widget in the Add menu.
