Ready to create next-level Joomla! sites? Vev's "Embed Anything" feature lets you plug advanced interactive content made in Vev directly into your Joomla! projects—from scrollytelling sections, forms, and quizzes, to horizontal scrolling, 3D objects, custom animations, and beyond.
We've made this as easy as possible on our side, but just as a heads up, Joomla! restricts you from inserting code snippets into articles for security reasons. Before you can add your Vev embed code in Joomla!'s Text Editor, you'll need to toggle certain settings on/off.
Let's walk through exactly how embedding Vev content in Joomla! works.
1. Allow the "Super User" or "Administrator" the "No Filtering" option:
In Joomla!, click "System" from the left panel
Within "Global Configuration", select the "Text Filters" tab
Find "Super Users" and/or "Administrator" (depending on your set-up) and select the "No Filtering" option
Save and Close
2. Enable Embed Code in the Text Editor via the "Editor - TinyMCE" plug-in
TinyMCE is a web-based JavaScript HTML WYSIWYG Editor which allows you to insert HTML scripts into your articles. Head to the editor to execute the following steps:
Find "System" from the left panel and click "Plugins"
Search for "TinyMCE" in the search bar
Click the search result "Editor - TinyMCE" to edit it
Make sure that the type of "Set" is correct
Select "Set 0" for Admins, Editors, Super Users
Scroll down and toggle "Use Joomla Text Filter" to "On"
Save and Close
Publish your article with your Vev Embed Code
Open the Joomla! article you want to embed Vev content into
In the Text Editor, click the "Toggle Editor"
Paste your Vev embed code to your desired location in the article
Note: Joomla will add paragraph tags <p> automatically
Save and Preview
And that's it! Your gorgeous Vev content is now in Joomla!. 🔥
